Privacy Policy
Last updated:
Aurelia is a personal horoscope app for iOS and Android. This policy explains what we collect, why, who helps us process it and how you stay in control. In short: we keep what your readings need, we never sell your data, we show no ads, and you can delete everything at any time.
Who we are
“Aurelia”, “we” and “us” mean the team that runs the Aurelia app and this website. For anything about your data, write to support@aurelia-app.me.
What we collect
Your account
Your email address, or the identifier Apple or Google gives us when you sign in with them (with “Hide My Email”, Apple’s relay address). We never see a password.
Your birth details
Your name, birth date, birth time and birthplace (the place name, its coordinates and time zone) — or the fact that you don’t know the time or place — and, if you choose to give it, your gender, so texts in gendered languages address you correctly.
People in your circle
For each person you add: a name, your relationship, optionally a gender, and their birth date (time and place if you know them). Add someone only if you may share these details with us. They are used only to shape your own readings — Aurelia never writes a forecast for them.
What you tell the app
“About me” answers (what you focus on, relationship status, occupation), the questions you ask in Ask the Stars, and feedback you send about a text.
What we create for you
Your natal chart, your readings, your portrait, the areas of life and the answers to your questions.
Settings
Language, theme, notification time, your device’s time zone, the time you last used the app (so we write tomorrow’s reading only for active readers) and your analytics choice with the time you made it.
Error reports
When the app or our server fails, a technical report (what failed, the app version, your device model and your account’s random ID) goes to our error tracker. Reports are cleaned of birth details, places, emails and credentials before they leave.
Usage statistics — only with your yes
If you agree in the app (it is off until you choose), we count how the app is used — for example which screens open and where onboarding stops — under your account’s random ID. These events never contain birth details, places or the texts you read or write; the only astrological detail is your Sun sign. You can turn this off in Settings at any time.
This website
The website sets no cookies and loads nothing from third parties. Our host, Cloudflare, counts visits without cookies (pages viewed, country, browser type) and keeps standard server logs for security.
How we use it
- To calculate your chart and write your readings, portrait and answers.
- To keep your account, settings and history in sync across your devices.
- To send the sign-in codes you ask for.
- To find and fix errors and keep the service secure.
- With your consent, to understand how the app is used and make it better.
We do not sell or rent your data, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not build profiles of you for anyone else.
AI and the services that help us
Your chart is calculated astronomically. To put it into words, we send the facts of your chart and the day’s sky — together with your first name, your gender, your “About me” answers, your people’s names, relationships and ages, and your questions — to an AI language model, Claude by Anthropic. We do not send your birth date or birthplace for this. Anthropic processes this data to return the text to us and, under its commercial terms, does not use it to train its models.
These providers process data for us and only for the purposes above:

Some of these providers are in the United States. Where the law requires it, transfers rely on the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses or an equivalent safeguard.
Legal bases (EU, UK and similar laws)
- Our contract with you — your account, chart, readings and answers.
- Your consent — usage statistics; you can withdraw it at any time.
- Legitimate interests — error reports and security.
How long we keep it
As long as you have an account. When you delete it, your account and everything linked to it — birth details, people, charts, readings, chat history, feedback and settings — are deleted. Error reports, server logs and database backups are kept for a limited time by our providers and then removed. We keep one record that an account was deleted (the date and how many items were removed, with no name, email, birth details or account id).
Your rights
You can see, correct and delete your data in the app at any time. You can also ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict its use, or withdraw your consent — write to support@aurelia-app.me. We answer within 30 days. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
To delete your account: in the app, Settings → Delete account, or see Delete your account.
Children
Aurelia is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you think a child has given us their details, write to us and we will delete them.
Security
Data travels encrypted. Access to it is limited to our server and the services above, and every table holding your data is closed to everyone but your own account and our server.
Changes
If we change this policy, we update the date at the top; for important changes we will also tell you in the app.
